Abre Camino: Know When Your Roads Are Closed and How to Remove Obstacles

Participants learn to recognize when obstacles are in the way, what types of obstacles can be cleared, and how to remove them to make way for more luck, love, money, and anything one can dream of. We discuss the various herbs, oils, curios, prayers, and scriptural verses that are useful in road opener work as well and what spirits aid in opening roads, including ancestors. Participants learn how to make a road opener jar working and herb bath and how to prepare and take the bath according to traditional conjure and different African Diaspora Religion methods. We also explore the hours and days of the week to do various road opener candle workings.

Elevating and Healing Ancestors

Ancestor veneration is the foundation of many Afro-Caribbean spiritual traditions. Espiritistas refer to them as los antepasados, and in Haitian Vodou, they are zansèt yo. In Lukumí, ancestors or eggun receive service before the Orisha. Elevating ancestors clears their paths, heals ancestral trauma, and gives them more power that they can use to bless their descendants. Ancestors can help heal relationships, remove blockages and obstacles, provide direction, find lost objects, and teach lessons. When beginning to practice these traditions, one’s first service should be to the ancestors because they are essential for spiritual development. During this presentation, participants learn how to set up an ancestor altar, serve their ancestors, and work with and receive messages from them. Sancista Jennifer shows participants how to elevate ancestors and make an oil and incense for engaging with their spirits.
