This is done by filling a glass of water, putting a teaspoon of salt in the water, placing a saucer over it, turning it upside down, leaving it near the front door on the floor, burning an upside-down white candle on top of the bottom of the glass, and praying the Saint Michael Protection prayer for nine days.
